Dubai World Central is the world’s first purpose built aerotropolis.
It is one of the most ambitious projects initiated by the government of Dubai to make the city as a leading international trade center. It has full conference facilities which make an excellent venue for international exhibits and events. It is a 140-sq-km free-zone strategically situated near the Jebel Ali Sea Port. It was developed based on three main key factors such as Dubai’s geographic location, the increasing importance of airports and the region’s booming aviation sector.
DWC has several key components such as Al Maktoum International Airport, Logistics District, Aviation District, Business Park, Commercial District, Residential District and Humanitarian District. The Al Maktoum International Airport is designed to be the world’s largest airport with an annual projected capacity of 12 million tons of cargo and 160 million passengers.
DWC has a direct access to Dubai’s two primary road networks – Emirates Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.
